Fundraising
Connected Planet's work relies on donations and you can support our work by becoming a fundraiser for the charity. Fundraising for Connected Planet doesn't mean you have to climb mountains and raise thousands, it can be as simple as a cake sale that raises £50. As a small, volunteer-run charity, whatever you can raise, will make a huge difference. Whatever fundraising idea you have, we can support you by promoting your event across our social media channels and email campaigns.

Fundraising efforts so far
The Siyafunda 3000s was a combined fundraising event between Connected Planet and Dogs4Wildlife, raising funds for our joint programme, Siyafunda Ngemvelo. The gruelling hike across Snowdonia covered the top 15 peaks in Wales, and hit an eye-watering 3000m of elevation. The wet weather and sore legs were worth it though with the team raising an incredible £5000!

The Boots on the ground bootcamp was a family-friendly fitness bootcamp that raised funds to buy new boots for the Anti-Poaching Unit at Nambiti Private Game Reserve in South Africa. The event raised over £900 for Nambiti's Rangers, which meant 16 new pairs of boots for the dedicated team of wildlife protectors.

Dolcie-Rose from South-West London raised over £50 for Connected Planet by selling cakes outside of her house. Dolcie put a huge amount of effort into the sale, which meant 2 children got to spend a night in the wild at Koru Camp in the Greater Kruger.

Connected Planet had a team of 3 runners in the London Landmarks Half Marathon in 2023. Charlotte, Giovanna and Will raised a whopping £2,400 between them that meant 100 children in Tanzania were able to visit their local wildlife reserves on immersive educational trips.

These three pupils from St Mary's Primary School in Twickenham raised an amazing £125 for Connected Planet by hosting a sale at their house. Despite spells of rain throughout the day, they continued on, driven by their mission to raise funds that would take young South Africans into wildlife reserves and connect them to nature.
